BLEND INFORMATION
*Burdock Root (Arctium lappa)
USES/BENEFITS: A diuretic and detoxifying herb useful in eliminating waste products in chronic skin, arthritic, and kidney conditions; acts as an antibiotic, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Very rarely can cause contact dermatitis; patients allergic to chrysanthemum may be sensitive to burdock; should be avoided during pregnancy, as it may cause uterine stimulation.
*Cleavers (Galium aparine)
USES/BENEFITS: A cooling herb; valuable article to aid swollen lymph glands and as a general detoxifying agent; also helps to relieve stress, and is a valuable diuretic; useful for many types of cancer.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: None known
*Dandelion Root (Taraxacum officinale)
USES/BENEFITS: A bitter and detoxifying herb that gently stimulates the liver and gall bladder’s capacity to clear waste products from the body; supports insulin release from the pancreas and stabilizes blood-sugar levels; astonishing range of health benefits.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Very rarely can cause heartburn, dyspepsia, and mild diarrhea with very large doses; may interact with medications such as diuretics, and hypoglycemics.
*Nettle (Urtica dioica)
USES/BENEFITS: Nettles are highly nutritious, containing excellent sources of vitamins K, B2, A, B6, B9, Choline and B3, and minerals like calcium, manganese, potassium, iron, copper, magnesium, zinc, and phosphorus; nettles have traditionally been used as a cleansing and detoxifying herb; kidney restorative, and purifies the blood; strengthens immunity.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: May interact with medications such as anticoagulants, BP drugs, diuretics, diabetics, lithium, and NSAID's.
*Red Clover (leaf/blossoms) (Trifolium pratense)
