HTMA

Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis is a non-invasive and inexpensive test that measures the mineral content of the body using scalp hair. HTMA tests will often reveal imbalances or deficiencies long before blood serum. The HTMA test also has the capability of displaying intracellular activity (what is occurring inside the cells of our body), making it a unique and coveted test.

Minerals are responsible for and essential in countless metabolic functions in the body. Imbalances in these minerals can cause many debilitating symptoms, including headaches, joint pain, exhaustion, weight gain, mood swings, and many more. HTMA provides the ability to locate and identify these imbalances, so we may correct them, which can alleviate many/all symptoms.

Mineral imbalances can be caused by many factors, such as diet, stress, prescription medications, as well as pollution and environmental toxins. Utilizing proper nutrition, supplementation and herbs, as well as lifestyle changes as part of the individualized protocol, the goal is to decrease the severity and likelihood of mineral imbalances occurring in the future.

Taking Your Hair Sample:

One heaping teaspoon of scalp hair is needed for analysis. A small section of hair is cut from the crown of the head as close to the scalp as possible, at a length of no more than 1.5 inches (additional length is to be cut from the sample and discarded). The sample is then sent to the lab for analysis.

Included in the cost:

-HTMA test (including a copy of the results)

-A complete evaluation including nutrition, supplement, and herbal suggestions based on your results, and intake form

-45-60 minute consult to discuss results and protocol

A re-test is recommended after 3-4 months to ensure positive changes are taking place, and to make changes where necessary.
